In today’s complex and fast moving business environment, it is often difficult to put a “title” on who you are. We have many roles as professional, parent, community and friend, but at our core our experience and talents form the basis of who we are. Having worked in many sectors, across different geographic territories and cultures and with businesses at all stages, I help bring clarity and focus to businesses experiencing change.

Through my career I have held Director roles in various sectors like Energy Services, Publishing and Tech Sectors and as a consultant supported over 27 businesses at early stage, acquisition and exit. These experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge and expertise allowing me to excel in each industry.

Along with a deep understanding of the fundamentals of business, I have a passion for knowledge transfer and in developing tomorrow’s talent through mentoring and engagement with passionate, enthusiastic and driven people. I have had the privilege of working with and developing both my own teams and with numerous founders of early stage and scaling businesses. The learning is two-ways and I leave each conversation and engagement a little bit smarter and with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

All work and no play would make Andrew very dull and one-dimensional and I re-charge spending time with my family (including Luna our Cocker Spaniel) and in a life long passion researching the life and works of Robert Burns, arguably the best observer of people.

Whether it’s untangling complex business challenges or guiding individuals towards self-discovery and fulfilment, I strive to leave a lasting impact on everyone I encounter.

I began my professional career in Aero Engine Overhaul and quickly grew into a team leader role, supporting and engaging a team with far more knowledge and experience than I had at the time. Moving into Offshore Communications, I lead the Operations Team in a challenging environment providing complex and reliable systems in remote and harsh locations. Transitioning into a larger role, I lead the residential and latterly the Business team for a National communications provider integrating acquisitions and supporting large client contracts. To gain exposure at a higher level, my next move was as Customer Services Director for a large International Publishing firm splitting time between the Distribution Hub and the London HQ. With my experience and knowledge growing, I changed gears and joined an Offshore Services company where the owner was looking to exit. Having achieved a successful trade sale, I remained with the business under the new ownership to complete the transfer. With little international experience, my next role as Operations Director was in Switzerland for an early stage Tech business. Gaining fresh contracts, new investment and a turnaround in business fortune, I returned to the UK after two years to head up the UK and Africa regions for a Nasdaq listed Energy Services firm. Rising to Vice President – Strategic Global Initiatives, my latest move has been to establish my own Professional Services Firm engaging with businesses at all stages and supporting investment, transition, crisis management, acquisitions and exit. My titles have been varied from Non-Exec, Board Advisor to Interim CEO and COO but the passion and energy remains the same.

I am a multifaceted individual who brings enthusiasm, empathy and value to every area of life. Whether through my diverse career experiences, my passion for developing talent at all stages through to expanding my own horizons through travel and new cultural experiences, I strive to make a lasting impact on the world around me.
